I heard something today. It goes directly to the heart of the question which originally fascinated me in June [check the referring post]. Take this for what it is worth to you - it is rumour, as it cannot be confirmed, i'm sure asking the company or the TSE or OSC would be futile. I personally find it quite credible, all things considered. What I heard was this -
The management of Diamondworks has been interested in the same question, and has investigated it as thoroughly as possible at this point, and intends to contact either the TSE or the OSC, or perhaps both [unclear], with their collected information. They may already have done so, and if not, they will soon.
That's it. I sense honour in the informant, for what that's worth.
I watched this trading through the summer, sporadically and for the most part without market depth on my own computer, that's true - but i saw enough to be quite convinced that the player was holding a wall on the stock, not exiting a long position in the manner of a rational investor, but manipulating the price down. It was a game, and may be continuing now, although of that i am less certain. It may have been a legal game, or perhaps an illegal one. I don't know which, but i suspect we shall see.
