Well, here is the problem. I consider it disgraceful that there remain so many people eager to behave in a prosecutorial manner towards Ronald Reagan, and who will not even accord him the elementary respect of taking him seriously as a person.You may well be a great asset to the world, your nation, your state, your town, your neighborhood, your family. But take that one aspect, and put it together with that component of millions of other Americans who are themselves not disgraceful people at all (only, imo, cynical, and too easily swayed by "elite opinion", and too ready to condemn those who are not "sophisticated), and you have an abstract entity that represents, to me, an embarrassment to this country. Add to this the effrontery of considering me gullible, and it is not so easy to shrug off....
....And that's the way it is. I suggest you not take it personally.... |
