If Intel can't get Camino or Carmel to work by 2Q00, Samsung could always give them to SUN for MAJC processor that IBM is making for them. LOL I think I will only post here for your enjoyment.
My take on my RMBS investment reasoning. It's not the technology it's the marketing. RMBS will get about $1.50 -$2.00 for RDRAM and chipset royalties for every PC. Intel nets about $100 for entry level business PC CPU and chipset; Microsoft nets about $70 for OS and the small percentage (10%) of full price MSOffice.
Then compare market caps of RMBS, $1.6B, INTC, $242B and MSFT, $482B and above profits per PC; RMBS should have market cap 3 to 6 times larger when INTC/SUNW/SONY/API gets them into 50% of all memory used.

Sun turns to IBM to make "Magic" processor

Oct 07, 1999 --- Sun has turned to IBM Corp. for production of its "Magic" processor, the companies revealed today. By the year's end, Sun will hand over the final design of its MAJC 5200 processor for production. The two companies expect samples to be available in the second quarter of 2000 and volume production in 2000 as well. Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

Sun's MAJC 5200 processor has been touted by the company for everything from set-top boxes and graphics cards to networking equipment. The chip's first destination will be servers or workstations.

IBM Microelectronics continues to make its presence known as a chip foundry. In the past three years, the company has expanded its mask shop, introduced silicon germanium, copper and silicon-on-insulator technology to its manufacturing process and opened its intellectual property cores (Blue Logic) to both fabless companies and its own competitors among computer vendors.
