Bobo I've heard the same rumors, but have heard others (analysts & so-called expert) contradict them. The best I can tell is that Ala has held back their G.Lite by choice and not because of their customers. Stephans supports this with comments from one of their analyst comments. They point out that the Aware based chipmakers are shipping product to the equipment OEMs. Some comments say that G.Lite is being put on hold by the Telcos, because of Y2K. That may be the case of the Telcos waiting until spring 2000, however, I'm told the likes of Northpoint, Covad, Copper Mountain and others are seizing the moment and going full steam. As for Lucent's Stinger I see some movement is toward other chip makers since Ala is a competitor, it's been said Conexant maybe the one for now. Also every thing I've seen shows Ala is behind ADI & Aware in regard to interoportablity.
