I will say that you missed the main point of my previous post--All of these dates are in the future. They are projections. We do not know for certain when the various items will go into volume production. It appears even from your rosy projections on DDR's mass introduction that if the 820 were in production today, then rdr would have a 6 month head start in penetrating the market over DDR. Obviously, the longer the 820 is delayed, the more opportunity for an alternative to take rdr's place. But, it remains ahead of DDR.
Do you read the mainstream press? The approach that PC Magazine took this month is what we'll be seeing on rollout. The first generation of rdr will be compared to prior technologies. That is the way they do it. If the 820 is delayed 6 months (yikes!), then PC133 will probably be in a lot of machines, and the comparison will be pc133 vs rdr. But, PC Magazine compares systems, and at the time of their article there were no pc133 systems to compare. Will there be enough when 820 debuts? That's a guess, and neither you know nor I know the answer.
KZ, I seem to recall that you called unclewest to task some time ago for viewing rambus through rose-colored glasses. We should be applying the same critical view of each of the competitors, rdr and ddr.
