It will be interesting to see how the CLEC's do the G.lite. To date they are almost exclusively SDSL/IDSL. G.lite is much more of a residential play and that is a tough space for the CLEC's to provision. If I were running a data CLEC, I would cherry pick as much business (SDSL) business as possible since it is more rev / provisioning pain.

As for the Lucent/ Alcatel thing. It will be interesting to see how long this lasts. Conventional wisdom says that Lucent utlimately moves to their own silicon but it is a big company so who knows. Lucent could stick with Alcatel for a while if it means getting some RBOC business.

One other observation... I looked at the 3com cards that BA will use through retail. It is no surprise, they have Alcatel silicon.
