wilder does a 'count' of high/low points per cycle over time and looks for a consistant number per ticker allowing trend cycles to be imputed based on history

Interesting distinction. I've never thought of looking at the problem that way, instead choosing to model the actual moon cycles, and not what the tradeable is doing during those moon cycles. Same problem, different way of looking at it.

I'm going to jot it down and perhaps do a little testing.
