Digital River to Manage Online Software Download Store for Staples.com

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 8, 1999-- Digital River (Nasdaq: DRIV - news), the worldwide leader in digital commerce outsourcing, today announced a significant new electronic software delivery (ESD) partnership with Staples Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS - news), a $7 billion retailer of office supplies and technology. For the first time, Staples.com will offer its online customers downloadable software titles, to enhance its current product offering and maintain its position as the preeminent online office supply retailer to small business.
