GREEK CENTRAL BANK SAYS POLICY ON GOLD SALES WON'T CHANGE
Athens--Oct 8--The Bank of Greece has no plans to change its policy on gold
reserves, despite a moratorium on such sales by other central banks, according
to the central bank's deputy governor, Nikos Garganas. He said the bank was not
a signatory to the moratorium, announced Sep 26 at an IMF meeting in Washington,
because it was not invited. (Story .13108).
