Mr. John Henderson reports
dba Telecom will be delivering CTI (computer telephony integration) capability with its SmarTalk suite of office telephones in November, 1999. The company will be launching its new CTI solution at TELECOM '99 in Geneva in early October. The CTI enhancement will enable users to link their SmarTalk telephone with their PC, thus opening users to a wide range of CTI applications. Initial developments with telecom service providers, system integrators and application developers indicate that the CTI capability will open sizable new markets for dba Telecom's SmarTalk products.
John R. Henderson, president and chief executive officer, said: "The fast growing CTI market represents the convergence of computers and telephony to solve today's challenges in communications and information management. Our developments in CTI are very exciting as we are enjoying substantial interest from major industry players pursuing applications ranging from the home office to the corporate environment."
TELECOM '99 is the largest international telecommunications trade show and is held every four years. More than 200,000 visitors are expected to attend. The show continues for eight days from Oct. 10, to Oct. 17, and showcases the names of virtually every player in the converging telecommunications and computing industries.
