To interested parties:

I spent some time this afternoon at Harvey's. I'm happy to report that they have one DHT on prominant display right as you walk into the store. Unfortunately, they only have it set up in its rear projection mode, not as a front projector. The salesman himself said that it looked better as a front projector. He also had been inundated by PJTV shareholders either in the store or on the phone b/c he was very cautious when talking to me. In fact, in the beginning, he was almost hostile to answering my questions. He kept asking what my interest was. I suggest that shareholders not decend too quickly on the store. Let them sell a couple of units.

On a positive note, that salesman did seem pretty knowledgeable about the system, and was able to quickly demonstrate some of its features. He said that he was most interested in it as a web browser for his family.

Harvey's sells other front projection systems for $4 to $6,000. They sell lots of home theater systems for tens of thousands of dollars. They know how to sell this merchandise, and more importantly, their customers are willing and able to spend that money. Time will tell how their sales develop.

Overall, I'd say that they have a pretty good display, but would be even better if they could show the system as a front projector. This seems to be a good start for the company. Now we'll have to see what they Wiz can do.
