And not all CDMA is QCOM. Of the accepted standards harmonized by the ITU, all but one is CDMA. However, I repeat, is QCOM going to produce W-CDMA or B-CDMA chips?
W-CMDA probably will be the dominant of these standards as it is tweaked for the legacy GSM base and to date, the majority of the infrastucture providers have developed it into working test beds. Why waste your time on it if there is no hope of it being deployed? Why is NTT DoMoCo deploying it by 2001 if it is not a standard that has been accepted and who is building the chips for it?
