So you would not say being in combat (or combat areas) is different? A teensy bit more dangerous? A wee bit more uncomfortable? Everyone who ever enlisted- even in times of peace- feels a "bond" for being in the military. I haven't been to combat myself- but I can tell you that my dad didn't think he had anything in common with folks in offices.
