I believe that one of the next moves in biometrics will be banking. Not for consumers but for in-house use. This is the reason I believe it will come shortly.
I have a friend who was President of a local bank and he stated that internal theft is a problem with banks. Employees who peak and steal PINs can move money around and lose it swiftly. When the bank finds out they have lost the money it is too late to catch anyone. The manager whose PIN was used is usually cleared but there is no way of tracking the true user. If internal security can't find out what happened they usually write it off.
In many cases they hesitate to call in police, as they know that they can't find the culprits either. If local authorities are called in, it can become public information. The last thing a bank wants to do is give the public the perception that the bank is not safe. So the loss is a cost for doing business. My friend thought the fingerprint idea was fantastic.

Ron 50/50 I will be at the meeting.
