Well, I don't call myself a skeptic as I believe that things like that can and do happen. I find it interesting that it happens to people of all races, religions, and nationalities. IMO, I don't think God works on a quota system, he just accepts all of us....

I have seen those studies and they are absolutely fascinating. I think it is important to remember that in those studies, people are not just praying to a specific God. The results are the same regardless of the God you pray to. Muslims, Hindus, Jews, and Christians(and I imagine many others) have had equivalent results.
My guess is that it has more to do with postive energy emanating from within the person praying then it does with God looking down from the sky and going over a checklist in order to decide who to help and who not to help..
