I am of the opinion that stock prices fluctuate wildly for three reasons:

1) Creates a lot of activity for Wall Street (profits)
2) ST traders get to pay lots of taxes
3) It affords us all many opportunities to make mistakes.

JMHO. Businesses aren't worth $1B one day, and half that two or three months later.
