I think there is also the risk of delayed payments and the taking of orders here. AMD gave indications of this and it makes sense. There is no way they can bring new tools on line now where it will have an immediate impact in a peak season. In fact, chip companies seem more focused on getting their product out the door to bring in revenue than bringing new tools on line. New tools cost money and if the quarter is threatened due to the earthquake effects, why not push out delivery or payment for some tools for awhile? Justa thought.
