gregor, The way I understood that statement is that he was talking about how artists paint pictures. Which would make sense to me. In centuries past an artist would use someone that lived in the same village as a model to paint. So different artists have painted pictures of Jesus that look more like someone from their village. We know from scripture that Jesus was of Hebrew descent. So I would imagine he would look like a person from the holy land.

Personally, I don't care if Jesus had blue eyes or brown eyes. What matters to me is that he died for me. And I don't see what splitting hairs about how He looked in the physical sense is going to accomplish.

I think it would be more pleasing to the Lord if we try to Love one another, as he commanded.
