So, whatever happened to the all those grandiose theories that the US has sided with India and will "punish" Pakistan? Out the window?!<g>
The US decision to dilute the sanctions that it had imposed on India and Pakistan worries India because the US could then sell military hardware to Pakistan. Since India buys little or no military hardware from the US (and relies on outdated Soviet junk instead), it has cause to worry.
Listen my friend, U haven't fathomed the depths of the Hindu mind. America will sell their arms to pakistan and lay the foundation for disintegration. Afghanistan is a standing - I mean, a prostrate- example. Now Pakistan will really start eating grass, once they find out that they can't pay for all those fancy arms from US. Now U C that India's arms race is pushing Pakistan into bankruptcy, create endogenous chaos in Pakistan and facilitate further dissension and break-up of Pakistan. I won't be surprised if their fate will be like that of Afganisthan. Pakistan can't match India Dollar for Dollar in arms race. India does not have to go to war with pakisthan. Just engage them in an arms race. If that is the way to neuter - that is one of your favorite words - Pakistan without going to war, even America will approve it. America is playing along by playing on both sides on and off, to keep either side guessing. Indians know it and pakistan grabs at every straw floating in their direction. Eventually it is the trade that matters. If pakistan can come up with more trade with America, Pakistan can play the first fiddle. That is not going to be the case. Almost daily American companies are opening their branches in India. Once the American business is firmly established in all major cities in India, it becomes the duty of America to come to the rescue of American companies in India, even if it means taking sides with India in case of war. Tell me honestly, what is the record of American companies in pakistan. Paki's industrial base is that of a troglodyte- to use your word. |
