Dell up this week- 9.3%, since last Friday intra-day low (39 3/4)- 17%

Naz up 5.5%

(Too bad we weren't all 100% long Siebel this week...or QCOM for that matter)...

Dell analyst week had the expected (positive) effect...given the magnitude of the quake, I don't think we could have expected much more...

I think we will get a slow updrift until end of October...settling us nicely between 45-50 (47,48?)....by the end of the month.....looks like low 40's, in any case, is history.

Early November- up until/thru earnings (Nov. 18) should see our run thru 49/50, and maybe beyond.........here's hoping Dell can deliver the .21 or more, .01 surprise or more, (and bullish forward outlook) needed to keep holding that level..Regardless, the closer we get to Year 2000, the more analysts, investors, etc...will have calender year 2000/Fiscal Year 2001 in view...and, by all accounts, it should be a banner year for Dell...and this new "view" will certainly help the stock.

In two weeks...release of IDC/Dataquest data...we should get a better idea (about this quarter).....That data, plus COMDEX should support the stock nicely too...

I'll take 50-55 by Jan. 1, and another 30%+ year next year...definently doable, IMO...
