Seems to me different chips/different market; maybe some overlap but minimal. RFMD's thrust is cellular but a lesson to all when you have too many eggs in one basket; note that 73% of RF's business is with Nokia, as hifin had a similar stake in their business with Lucent.

In any event, I got in to RF for the first time today and look at the baby with the bath water phenomena as a gift. Cellular voice and cellular data access is booming---the latter in its infancy ( note AIRO ). With the new fab coming on line next year, doubling capacity, the risk is spread to a broader customer base.

ps...market wised up towards end of day, realizing ( duh ) RF was not a HiFin.
