Hi Teddy,

You bring up an interesting subject, that of self-healing loops in communications cables. GBLX has done it right with a self healing topology. I found it mystifying the WCG would decide on a one-way topology. Keeping in mind that this is a spin off of the company that has recently had 2 spectacularly disasterous breaks in their high pressure gas line in the Columbia Gorge, and that the cable is right there on the right of way, would it not seem prudent for a speculator to short WCG? Landslide season is coming right up.

BTW, Winnick's figure at the Telecosm '99 conference was $750,000 per "ship roll", with a "very high profit margin" built in. If I were him, I'd invest in a few trawlers. <vbg>

Best, Ray
