Lou:

Your implication that the management of Silicon Investor is unethical offends me. I have seen evidence, many times, that Brad, Jeff, Jill, Bob, and Bryan are good people. I doubt very seriously that this whole thing was set up to make you look bad. Evidently you're doing fine by yourself, IMHO.

Your other implication that the "no" voters on this issue voted no because they "hate shorts" is not only incorrect, it is an absurd generalization.

It's that foggy logic of yours that gets you into trouble, sir. I am familiar with FLS (Foggy Logic Syndrome) because my stupid cOUSIN seems to have a bad case of it also. The difference is that he always ends up coming up with the correct solution, and you appear to consistently arrive at something resembling the wall behind the band at a Jefferson Airplane concert.

There is Reality, and there is Fa-Fa Land. In Fa-Fa Land, you can say and think whatever you want, and as long as somebody else agrees with you, it's true. It's like Daffy Duck cartoons. He cracks me up.

Here, however, in Reality, SI did not "win". It appears that they were forced into a corner by having to deal with a situation that I am sure they didn't relish dealing with. SI is, after all, the people that created and manage the site, and they are pretty much ordinary people, like Daffy Duck. No, that didn't come out right. Like President Clinton. Nope. OK, like that ordinary guy over there with the regular hair cut and the wallet and stuff.

The Way of Life didn't really win either, since what he should have done when he got booted (assuming that he wanted back on the site) was to write a professional letter to the management stating that he realized he had gone over the edge, and as a professional and a leader, he would evaluate his behavior and get back in line should SI allow him back on the site. That's what any pro would have done.

This presupposes, of course, that had he been conducting himself as a professional, he would not have been booted off in the first place, not to mention this PR line about the thing with the NASD (which is public knowledge for anybody with his CRD #), but I digress.

As Minister@Propaganda, you screwed it up too, dood. You could have made this a pleasant experience not only for yourself and Anthony, but for the vast majority of members SI (who had no idea who Anthony is/was before this goofy excursion into the Twilight Zone).

You had three choices: keep your mouth shut, conduct yourself in a professional manner, or act like a kinda loudmouth punklike sorta guy and piss off a bunch of people you don't know. Future acolytes, as it were, so to speak.

I think there were two big errors here. SI assumed you dudes were professionals and decided to cut you some slack (which is their right, they run the site), and you assumed the majority of SI members were like you and need to have somebody else make their stock market decisions for them (which might be right in line with a few other conclusions you have made in recent weeks).

Anthony is a loud guy? I wouldn't know. Give him my regards. I sent a few bucks over there when he axed for it. I don't wish him ill.

What I wish is that SI was like it was before guys like you decided that you could act like petulant children when the teacher looked the other way.

And I don't mean that in a bad way.
