You realize of course, Paul, that this press release only indicates that the MP3 player has some pretty stiff competition out there (e.g., Microsoft).

It's funny how every time some people see "MP3", they think it refers to MPPP.

Again, MPPP is an internet site that gives away free music from artists that often have no other way to market their songs (I wonder why?). There are a number of manufacturers of MP3 players and MPPP isn't one of them.

So, you ask, if MPPP gives it's only product away for free and doesn't even sell the MP3 player, how does it generate sufficient funds to support operations?

It doesn't. The Company generates revenues from online advertising, electronic commerce and offline advertising. For the six months ended 6/30/99, net revenues totalled $2.6M. Net loss totalled $7.7M.

Buyer beware.
