Every internet player has stiff competition. I think these kinds of news releases indicate that the MP3 format is gaining popularity. The trick here is to find a business model that makes sense with this free format. MP3.com may or may not have it but they are certainly the first up to bat with a large amount of money behind them. MPPP is the dominant MP3 industry player today, measured not by revenue but by exposure.
