Huh? What you say, Donny?
You do realize, Donny, that NZRO has 1.7 million subscribers as of the date of the IPO. Five-hundred thousand of these signed up between June and August. And that 1.7 signed up via word of mouth!
A national NetZero radio ad campaign began after the IPO. The new NZRO sign-up numbers I think will be staggering and likely will break all ISP subscription records, including the ones AOL set. Now, just imagine what it'll be like if the new numbers get released in concert with positive recommendations from Goldman Sachs, et. al.!
NZRO's ZeroPort does just about everything AOL does. Except AOL charges ya $21. Given ecommerce is set for a record-busting holiday season, using AOL is like the equivalent of paying to walk into a store. With NZRO you can access news, sports, entertainment and ecommerce for free! In other words, you don't pay twice: AOL and the ecommerce retailer--you only pay the ecommerce retailer.
With Altavista's free ISP service as a back-up to NZRO for accessing the Web--hey, who needs America Online or Microsoft? |
