But let me pose another question: If you cannot trust that your interpretation of that simple word in the Bible is right, how can you trust that any interpretation you make of anything in it is correct? Is God trying to fool us through word games and hidden meanings?
If you have to apply subtle, unobvious meanings to simple words in this book, then everything you think you know is in danger. It becomes a swamp you can never find your way out of. |
