Robert - that letter from Butler is old stuff and full of misinformation and has been posted many times on these threads. It might help if you visited the Barrick web site and actually tried to develop some understanding of its hedging program. It has become temporarily fashionable to think that the best companies to invest in are those who don't hedge - on the contrary the best companies to invest in (note the word 'invest') are companies like Barrick which participate in the upside (POG) but are protected on the downside. What if gold goes back down to $250? dd
