RE <<<So why haven't the idiots at AMD had motherboards manufactured directly.>>>

I can easily say that it was idiotic for anyone to have bought rmbs stock in the past year. There was clear cut evidence all along that there may be problems with the rmbus designs and with intc's support. My view can be supported by the roller coaster ride the stock has been on all year. I could say that a smart and sane investor would not have gone near it. That coupled with hindsight makes my statement a pretty good one. However it is one man's opinion and does not begin to cover all the facts involved in making such an investment decision.....just as we don't have all the facts as to why AMD didn't realize that they were going to have a mobo problem or why they didn't anticipate the pressures put on by intc. I remember your voice raised in condemnation when Raza quit in June but when all the facts came out, I think most would agree that Raza's leaving was not such a bad thing.

My point is is that we all mistakes seemingly: kash johal, intc, AMD etc...we don't know the circumstances that led up to those mistakes, meaning the mistake may not be a mistake, or there may have been no way to prevent the mistake, or may be the mistake resulted from someone taking a calculated risk that backfired. I have learned that is best not to condemn, until you have all the facts, and even then, only when it may do some good. Just a thought.

BTW I am the only one who does not make mistakes ;~).
