Re: Limit orders...I used to do it just based on the day's trading range. If for instance in late morning there was a range of 6-8 points, even if it was near the high I'd place a good for the day limit order close to the low, and often get it. Since daytraders were riding it up and down anyway. I don' tknow why I stopped doing that--perhaps deterred by the anxiety of checking back in to see if I got it? I always did get it. Should have done that with GMST & I didn't. Think I'll start doing that again.
