Well Doc, you're certainly more magnanimous than I am. I would like to lock Fleming in a room for about 10-12 years.

It seems to me that the TSE has thrown out the baby, but is keeping the dirty bathwater. Fleming and his band are gone, but the ludicrous proposal to give derivatives and $28MM to Montreal remains in effect. The ME in its wisdom turned down the free offer of the $15MM trading engine, which in my mind fully illuminates the trading acumen of Fleming and his minions. (Zero)

Can anyone really be surprised that Quebec said thank you very much for options and futures and all that money, and since you've already committed to giving it to us, we'll just take it AND keep our stocks?

This has gone from bad policy to tragedy to farce, imo. The only winner will be the ME. Certainly not the TSE or the investing public.

Don't forget the last referendum vote only failed by less than .5%, if I remember correctly. I support the democratic process, but derivatives could be migrating to a 'foreign' country. Food for thought.

Happy trading.

Porter
