Blankmind:--I'm a Canadian. If I were to buy a 1,000 shares of QXL, I would have to pay US$16.30/share (that's Cdn.$23.87/share or Cdn.$23,870 for 1000 QXL shares. That's a lot of money. I get the impression that QXL shares are cheaper in the UK. It's confusing what's going on. How many shares are issued? What's this about 28 million shares in the UK, 5.6 million shares in the USA? What is the real total? What is the price per shares in the UK? Is it Cdn.$4.85/share (195p) or are they buying a part of a share? What is QXL's annual sales? Was there a problem on their auction site over the last few days? A report on QXL's web site said "unconditional dealings in the shares on the London Stock Exchange are expected to commence at 8 a.m on Thursday, October 14, 1999. Share certificates will be posted to successful applicants on Oct. 14, 1999." ????? What is meant by "28,000,000 new shares have been allocated to institutional and retail investors as part of the offering."???? Is it possible to get an overview since they came on the market? Looks like share volume on the NASDAQ was low at 67,500 on Friday. What about the volume on the London stock market.???
