Steven, as you know, I'm something of a sucker for these RR claims and counter-claims. I'm officially concluding my participation with the personal opinion that the country was in better (not perfect) shape when he left than when he arrived. If presidential greatness is a subject of interest to you or others, I'd be glad to sing praises or sling mud re. any and all other modern presidents (but, not in an "as compared to Reagan" mode). What's "modern" -- 20th century -- WWI on -- WWII on??? Nixon's usually good for a proper shouting match. Anyone care to nominate a best or a worst? If that sounds too tired, how about a contest? In fact, how about those with an interest posting their strategy for winning the $1,000,000 "survival" prize, if selected as a participant. EVERYONE here eligible, of course. All "game plans" to be posted at same time -- say 6 p.m. eastern time Sunday. Then we can argue about who won. Perhaps we should first wonder if the contest promoter might have a certain demographic in mind for the castaways. Neocon, where are you, man? We could do with a quiz! MM
