Well, I don't listen to too much popular music, however, I believe the ones that stand the test of time have to do so musically, kind of like artists work in the end either holds up or it doesn't... so, I would say the sex pistols don't last. But who knows. I guess the thing that makes me pause is you have Duke Ellington listed for one decade vs. Public Enemy... no comparison... and then of course the beatles take up the 60s but imo the Rolling Stones and Aretha Franklin will be remembered long after the Beatie Boys...?

That would be a tough job picking the artists of the decade though. They didn't pick "cat on a hot tin roof" as one of the best videos of the 50s either...
