No, no - THAT I believe. I certainly do.

Previously, the word "former" wasn't in there, which is very important. Active duty special ops personnel would not be permitted to pull "private duty" like that, and certainly not with operational weapons and uniforms.

But active duty cops, with badges and weapons? Sure, they do that all the time. I see the NYPD at all sorts of private affairs they're deemed to be required at.

I believe it 100%. No argument here.
