MONTGOMERY SECURITIES DOWNGRADES AMERICA ONLINE IN WAKE OF COMPUSERVE-MICROSOFT PARTNERSHIP Today, citing the wide-ranging strategic alliance between CompuServe and Microsoft, Montgomery Securities downgrades AOL from a "buy" to "hold". The firm finds this partnership as creating problems for AOL in addition to increasing concerns over the company's falling subscription growth rate (on a stock vastly over-valued by industry comparison). Implicit in their analysis is lower earnings and revenue growth. Regards
