Hi! Bill - you're right - but people here - some of them - Dirks being a typical example - Doug being a Gata camp follower - are looking at the surface - if the Barrick hedging plan is as watertight as they say it is - then this pullback in the stock represents a tremendous buying opportunity - because they claim to have all (or most) of the upside and are protected on the down side. Now, if they are wrong - and anything is possible - it's a different matter - but probably only marginally so. If I were Oliphant and if he's right - then I think he's correct to not issue any NR about this - let the suckers suffer, or at least miss the boat - and deal with it when the quarterly results are released - probably quite soon. I think personally that Gata had absolutely nothing to do with the European CBs decision - if one read the previous Gata material the Cbs were part of the conspiracy before - I guess the would qualify as so called 'Hannibals' - now they're heroes I guess?? D
