I just had this conversation with another fellow a few days ago...

Front running is when a broker will place an order in before one of his clients. Such as Joe Smith places an order for 1 million shares of RTIN at market. Broker knows that it will effect the stock greatly so he himself buys 5,000 to ride the coattails of Joe.

We came to a mutual agreement on the other thread that front running has a different meaning, such as the way you are using it. However, that isn't the defintion that the SEC has.
