TELECOMS-Nokia's growth target 'good guidance'-CEO

GENEVA, Oct 10 (Reuters) - Nokia Oy has made no changes to its forecast of 25-35 percent revenue growth in 1999,
chairman and CEO Jorma Ollila said at a news conference on Sunday.

He said he was confident that the forecast had set a good benchmark for the company to beat.

''You know we have said that we expect 25-35 percent revenue growth this year. This target has given good guidance to
our people, they love to beat targets,'' Ollila said.

He declined to comment further on financial issues, as the group's third quarter results are due on October 21.

Nokia reported net sales of 13.ss billion euros for the full year 1998.

Ollila also said Nokia is still interested in acquiring smaller to medium-size technology companies.

''Yes, we continue to be interested,'' he said, ''Particularly companies which combines mobility with data communication.''
