SI Bob's recent message seems to have encouraged Ms B to continue her cut and paste of information from Raging Bull. I don't necessarily have any quarrel with the information unleashed in her most recent barrage. I only question its relevance and timeliness. In fact, I didn't even read it all because it appeared to be posts of old information or at most a rehash of it. Her source seems to be "WickedWanda" from Raging Bull - who for all I know is Ms B herself! My point is that if she wants us all to move to Raging Bull then she should just say so. If she is going to use "WickedWanda" as the source of information then say so.....maybe even post a just a link to WW's messages, but is it really necessary to post the entire series of posts on SI? If she is WW then she should be able to provide the link to the original source rather than to RB. If she isn't WW, in fact even if she is, it would seem to be in her best interest to post the link to the original source.
As I have told Ms B before, if I wanted to follow the RB board I would AND I do not appreciate her bringing it over to SI.
One of the advantages of being a member of SI has always been that the price has kept out some of the nonsense of the free boards such as RB which at times becomes a free-for-all. I would hate to see this happen to SI via Ms B's penchant for posting carefully selected posts from RB under the guise of information protected by by SI's policy.
I have noticed what appears to be a significant drop in the number of posts on SI in general as more and more people gravitate to the free boards for discussions. Several of the threads that I follow seem to have practically died while they thrive on RB (and Yahoo!). I am not sure why this has happened but it is happening.
Certainly I don't have the answer as to how SI can reverse this trend, but a couple of recent actions by SI management that I am aware of appear to be putting them on that proverbial "slippery slope." Admittedly, there has been a lot fun nonsense posts on this thread and I have enjoyed and partaken in it. This should be fun and at times it was the only way to ignore the constant onslaught of insults, unsubstantiated claims and general bashing by other posters.
Despite the implication foisted upon this board by jhild, I have never pumped this stock, and time will tell how wise I have been in not having dumped it! In the meantime, I am capable of making and taking responsibility for my own decisions. I would prefer that I not be subject of the many putdowns and vendettas by jhild and his disciples. However, if he continues to be supported by SI in his sly insinuations, I will respond.
