CB, just a few clicks and it was easy to obtain the official "Promise Keepers" statement regarding "the role of women". From what I have seen and heard of them, which is fairly limited, they are attempting to address one of the nations largest social problems. "Fatherless families", a pretty important issue in my eyes.

The liberal press and some Americans, see this as a threat to America. Never could figure out what threat that represents. But fear regarding religiously driven organizations seems to be "in" thing these days. Here's an exerp from their official website.

The role of women is not a topic we address at our events; however, we do believe husbands are called to love their wives just as Christ loved the church (Ephesians 5:25).

Promise Keepers believes that men and women are completely equal at the foot of the cross. Paul writes in Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus." As we continue to pursue reconciliation in the body of Christ, we believe unity in Christ transcends ethnic, social, and gender distinctions.
