the plug and outlet need to be very generic for everyone, to assure reliable operation, but the cord can be dressed up to advertise for the isp. it can't be a software nightmare for BLLS to store advertising info that would be displayed in a consistent place on each page but be specific to the isp. or the completely generic payment info could be designed into only part of the pages, leaving the balance for the isps to put anything they like into. the front ends need their advertising to keep them happy. there is always a way to market. they may not be waiting for your creativity, just your confirmation of which scenario to go with. may your weekend be filled with foam and fortune.
