Tenchu; A jerk is someone who does foolish acts. Dell has done very well, but his statement about using market force to jump the queue for parts from Taiwan and elsewhere is a jerk comment. Such a remark will work against his desires to jump the queue and may well result in his being put in his place with extra costs by his suppliers. He has also done and said other similar things to aggravate assorted end users etc. The term 'nouveau riche' comes to mind, as does 'pride goeth before a fall'
