I had previously questioned the wisdom of a Token Ring TC. Here's the rational I finally found.

While it may seem that Ethernet with its 10/100Mbps capabilities has occluded Token Ring marketplace, many large banking institutions in particular still make use of this topology and have been awaiting the release of a thin client to support it.
