More CUmine benchmark speculation: Intel says the CUmine at 600 MHz does 24 SpecFP. If it scaled linearly, that means the 733 would do 29.3. AMD (and others) say the Athlon 700 does 24 SpecFP. The post on JC's page that I previously referred to describes improvements in floating point performance for an Athlon 500 using prefetch code optimizations as high as 45%. If that increase were available to the 700, it would do 34.8. This would seem consistent with AMDs estimates for a 700 wi. 266 FSB and compiler optimizations. Food for thought, for those who can spare time from their religious endeavors (on the thread). Vince
