SusieQ, I don't know the answer, I got this in one of my many market discussions I receive via email this weekend. Many times here, we all jump on the same stock only to see it rise a little then move lower on comparatively few sells... it seems to happen all the time. The MMs let the stock move a little, establish a short position then squash the stock. If this might make a difference, we might all put in sell GTC orders next time we buy a stock and see if it makes a difference...
