Pretty good observations. There is one other factor involved perhaps. That is all these lawsuits and threats of lawsuits getting thrown about by companies against internet posters. I suspect that has something of a chilling effect on folks commenting about companies.

There's a thread documenting some of the suits, #Subject-28509, I know I've lost count.
