Stephen, res-The next logical step is that non-Christians should be forced to accept values as defined by Christians. As a non-Christian, I find this prospect unappealing, to say the least.

I would suggest that would only be true if those values were out of alignment, or not compatible with your own values. Valuing fatherhood as a man and treating your marriage as a sacred trust is not something I have a problem with. If that also happens to be a "christian value" why would you care as long as it's something you also value? As far as I know, the "Promise Keepers" aren't forcing anyone to join their group and by extension believe in Jesus. They simply want to share those beliefs with those who believe similarly. And reinforce those beliefs in others who struggle with keeping families together.

res-I believe that all groups that believe their ideology to be superior and wish to spread it should rightly be viewed with suspicion and concern.

Does this include "freedom", "human rights" or "anti-slavery" ? All groups, including countries, consider their beliefs superior to some degree and try and spread them. Being suspicious and concerned is fine. That doesn't mean some beliefs aren't valuable and worth spreading.

Michael
