Thanks for the link, Steven. I don't know whether I should be ashamed of my ethnocentrism, or not, but whenever I read or see stuff about these mummies, it grabs me in a very special way. These people were never Asian, they belong to "us", and by "us," I mean people that include me, but I have a hard time explaining what I mean. Some of the men look like my husband, some of the children look like my children. The women don't look like me, that much, but I have so much American Indian blood that it's not surprising, but they do look like women I know. They were never Asian, that's all I can say, I guess. |
