"Telecommunications equipment analyst Chris Crespi rates JDS a "strong buy" and expects EPS to grow from 73 cents in fiscal (June) 1999 on $587.9 million in revenues to $1.09 in fiscal 2000 on sales of $976 million."

This is a projected increas of approximatly 50%.

But, from a few messages ago:
"Optical Internet Market to Reach $7.6 Billion by 2003
10/8/99 Purchases of dense wave division multiplexing (DWDM) and optical crossconnects will grow to about $7.6 billion in 2003, compared to $3.5 billion today, according to a report from Communications Industry Researchers Inc.

That's increases year over year of close to 20%. So, don't look for the broad demand for DWDM to fully fuel JDSU's growth.

David Todtman
